To further promote cross-cultural exchange and integration, DBJI recently organized a themed cultural event for its international faculty, taking them to the Donggou Wufang Intangible Cultural Heritage Block of Xiaohei Mountain, Dalian. The event was designed to offer international faculty members an immersive experience of the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture, while fostering cross-cultural understanding and enriching the multicultural environment on campus.
The event began with a visit to the Manchu Folk Custom Exhibition Hall, where faculty members gained systematic insights into the history, lifestyle, and cultural characteristics of the Manchu ethnic group. During the hands-on session, guided by inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, the faculty participated in several nationally recognized heritage crafts, including tie-dyeing, marbling art (wet painting), oil-paper umbrella painting, and shadow puppetry.
DBJI remains committed to building an open, inclusive, and mutually appreciative international campus environment. Looking ahead, the college will continue to organize a diverse range of cultural exchange activities to help international faculty gain a deeper understanding of China and to further enrich China-foreign cultural exchange and cooperation.
